Cucumber growing experience of farmer Mr. Yos Sopheap

Community advancement organization helps families out of acute poverty caused by COVID-19’s negative economic impact through the agronomy project.

This is a model family, he grew cucumber and lives in Toul Chres village and he has four children, he owns 400m2 of farmland and got rice yield 150kg. So his family does not support the family if depend on rice crop only after the rice is harvested this family climb palm tree and makes wine in the village. In the past this family did not grow vegetables, agro-staff meet him in the training near his village so she asked many questions and look so interested in vegetable activities. We went to visit their house and look around and decided to support cucumber seed. And we also support training to him, right now he can support the family and sold vegetables to around village because of he can cucumber growing 5-6 times per year. After he got too much coaching and especially he can increase farmland and create more income. From this family, we can help many others around their house and near the village.
