Srey Pov is one of 150 poor students who have received a bicycle sponsorship from Community Advancement organization for the school year 2021-2022.
A 10-year-old girl is in the 5th grade of Trapeang Veng Primary School. Her family of five lives in a small house with a zinc roof and plastic tent walls. Her father, a construction worker with hemorrhoids who did not receive proper treatment due to lack of livelihood, and her mother is a housewife who had to take care of her 3-year-old and 6-month-old children, raising chickens and some growing vegetables. After school, Srey Pov helped her mother cook, caught fish, crabs, and snails to make the food and collect the recycle bottle for sale. Her dream is to be a teacher in the future.
Seeing the difficulties, the school teacher put her into the list of poor students for the staff of Community Advancement organization did the selection to provision of bicycles and received a bicycle for go to school and family use.
