Thoeun is one of the poor pupils live in Tasork village, Kampong Ampil commune, Romdoul district, Svay Rieng province. In 2023 she studies in grade 3 and she is 9 years old she is a good student in the class. Every day she walked about 3 km with her friend from home to school. But if have other friend call him to ride bike, she rides with friend also but no often it is occasionally. She goes to school spend time 60 minute from home to school if she walks. Now she is studying at Samroung primary school and this school is target area in Oral Health Education project. This poor family is poor group I (poor group I is mean that very poor in the village). They are farmer, small house, small farming land is 0.20ha, income is 15$/person/month and her father work home construction at Phnom Penh city and her mother stay at home take care children. This family has 5 members, they have 3 children, her mother name is Pov Sophat, she is 40 years old and her father name is Srey Chan he is 43 years old. The below is name of member in the family:
1. Srey Chan is 43 years old. He is father.
2. Pov Saphat is 40 years old. She is mother.
3. Srey Savoeun is 12 years old. She studies in grade 6.
4. Srey Thoeun is 9 years old. She studies in grade 3.
5. Srey Sitha is 5 months.
The income from home construction is not enough to support the family because of more the payment to health treatment and Children. Thoeun always gets up early the morning to clean house every morning and help her mother other work. Some material for her studying is not enough and her wear is an old dress to school. Normally she studies in the morning and her breakfast is old rice and food from evening. And every day she needs to bring one bottle of water from home as well. She goes to school not often on time but sometime she is absent from school because of family problem and transportation issue. Now, she got bike from CAO she goes to school on time every day and some time she cans help her mother to travel also. They are very happy with CAO to support bike to them and thanks so much to CAO.
